A civil rights related pin from 1903. When 167 black soldiers were dishonorably discharged from the Army after a shooting in Brownsville, Texas, people across the country took up their cause. This 1 1/4-inch celluloid in excellent condition showed support for the discharged soldiers. The charges eventually were reversed -- but not until a congressional review in 1972. Scarce pin, excellent, Al Anderson collection.
