Anderson Americana has 50 years of experience in the political and historical memorabilia business. Here's a brief introduction to the business:
- Al Anderson founded Anderson Americana in 1972 while working as an American history teacher and contunued to be the driving force behind the auction until his death in 2020. His wife Nancy now owns the business and continues her role as chief accountant. Al served as president of the Ohio Political Items Collectors and served on the board of directors of the Ohio Political Item Collectors and the American Political Item Collectors. Al was inducted into the APIC Hall of Fame at the 2014 National Convention in Denver.
- David Lindeman first worked with Al Anderson almost 50 years ago, when he was a student in Al's high school history class. Since then, he has worked as a journalist, including as the managing editor and executive editor of the Troy Daily News. David continues to write a newspaper column and has authored two books. He is in charge of the day-to-day operations of the auction. Al and David served as co-chairmen of the APIC 2012 National Convention in Columbus. He joined Anderson Americana in 1999.
- Lachlan Anderson grew up attending political shows with his parents. Lachlan is graduate of Ohio State University and has worked part-time over the years for Anderson Americana. He joined the auction full-time in 2022 to carry on the Anderson tradition.
CONSIGNMENT FEES: We offer a sliding consignment fee for each item sold. The rate is 15% on the first $100 of each item; 10% on the amount from $100 to $1,000; and 5% on the amount more than $1,000.
