W. Lee “Pappy" O' Daniel was inaugurated as governor of Texas on Jan. 17, 1939. This 26-inch pennant was part of the festivities honoring the colorful politician. He also was the man who beat Lyndon Johnson in the 1941 Democratic primary for US senator in one of the most controversial elections in Texas history – and that's saying something! Excellent condition.
