William Jennings Bryan and John Kern promise a Clean Sweep for Democracy on this 1908 campaign pin. This is the companion piece to the classic Taft-Sherman Elephant Ears, listed in this auction as Item No. 28. Democrats got out the broom in 1908 with the hope of sweeping Republicans out of office. This 1 1/4 inch celluloid is a beautiful pin with Whitehead and Hoag back paper, excellent condition.
