General Zachary Taylor is pictured on this especially rare 7 inch ribbon from 1848. Taylor didn't say much during the campaign, so it's interesting that this ribbon includes a Taylor quote at bottom: "I shall continue to devote all my energies to the public good, looking for my reward to the consciousness of pure motives, and to the final verdict of impartial history."
