This 7/8 inch celluloid celebrated the centennial of Yiddish author Solomon Rabinovich's birth. He was better know to most as Sholem Aleichem. Couple faint spots. Aleichem was the author of the book that later became the hit play and movie "Fiddler on the Roof" and also wrote in support of Zionism, When Mark Twain heard that Aleichem was called "the Jewish Mark Twain," he replied, "Please tell him that I am the American Sholem Aleichem."
