Wilbur Huckle for President Mets Pin
The New York Mets were awful in 1964, but their fans loved them. They adopted minor leaguer Wilbur Huckle as their very own presidential candidate. This 1 1/4-inch celluloid from 1964 supports Huckle with the slogan: "Extremism in Defense of the Mets is no Vice." (Huckle's other claim to fame was he was Tom Seaver's first roommate in the minor leagues).
