A remarkable item with a ferrotype of George Washington and colorful ribbons and rosette. The ribbons read “Constitution, Union” and this piece is identified with John Bell’s 1860 campaign. The 1 inch ferrotype is in excellent condition; the 2 ¼ inch rosette also is in great shape. Ribbons show some wear, large ribbon at top may have been added at later date but is from the same time frame. A dramatic display item.
