A beautiful, old 2 1/4-inch celluloid advertising mirror promoting the Bungalow in Valparaiso, Indiana. This mirror (good for 10 cents in trade) pictures the type of young women you could meet at the establishment. Excellent condition. The girl on the mirror is Evelyn Nesbit, the famous "girl in the red velvet swing" and a "Gibson Girl." She was the center of the love triangle that ended with her husband, Harry Kendall Thaw, killing one of her admirers, famous architect Stanford White. The resulting "trial of the century" ended with Thaw being acquitted on an insanity defense.
