William Taylor for governor of Kentucky 7/8 inch celluloid, Whitehead and Hoag back paper, stain. Taylor was elected governor in 1899, but the state legislature overturned the election and made William Goebel governor. Goebel was assassinated and when Taylor's name was linked to the shooting, he fled to Indiana. He eventually was pardoned, but lived the rest of his life in Indianapolis.
