There are pins that picture William Howard Taft. There are pins that picture William Jennings Bryan. But seldom do you see a pin like this one that pictures both Taft and Bryan, opponents in the 1908 presidential election. This rare 1 3/4 inch celluloid pictures the two Bills with a shield and halberd design. Bright colors, ornate design. Pin does have crimping problems on edge but still is very presentable and seldom seen. These pins are sometimes known as "salesman's pins" as no salesman wants to anger a customer hence these few pins that picture both candidates. Not sure if I know another of this design.
