Franklin Roosevelt is pictured with the James Michael Curley on this Massachusetts coattail pin. Curley served four terms as mayor of Boston; one term as Massachusetts governor; and twice was elected to Congress. In 1932, Curley was denied a seat in the Massachusetts delegation to the Democratic National Convention. He somehow managed to get himself on the Puerto Rican delegation (as Alcalde Jaime Curleo) and supported FDR. This 2 1/4 inch celluloid is in excellent condition.
