Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party

The Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party was an attempt by African-Americans to break into the all-white power structure of the Democratic Party. The MFDP played a highly visible role in the 1964 Democratic convention, challenging the state's all-white delegate slate. This 1 1/4-inch celluloid was part of that effort. Excellent condition.
