This 1 1/2 inch celluloid has a fantastic story behind it. It pictures William Jennings Bryan with William Goebel and Joseph Blackburn of Kentucky. Goebel served as the 34th governor of Kentucky for four days in 1900, having been sworn in on his deathbed a day after being shot by an assassin. Goebel remains the only state governor in the United States to ever be assassinated while in office. Missing pin on back, few tiny spots but very rare and what a story!
