An Alf Landon sunflower pin with its own special twist. This 1 1/4 inch celluloid pin is attached to a 2 3/4 inch felt sunflower. Landon relied on those sunflowers, because he did very little active campaigning himself. In fact, during the campaign columnist Westbrook Pegler wrote, “Considerable mystery surrounds the disappearance of Alfred M. Landon of Topeka, Kansas ... anyone having information of his whereabouts is asked to communicate direct with the Republican National Committee.” Well, we’ve tracked down this scarce pin and it can be part of your collection. Excellent condition.
