This is the first time we recall running this rare Alf Landon pin from New Jersey. It’s a 2 1/4 inch celluloid with Sommer back paper made for Governor’s Day in Essex County on Aug. 27, 1936. (The governor at the time was Harold Giles Hoffman.) The sunflower, of course, represents the presidential campaign of Alf Landon and Frank Knox. Excellent condition.
