Franklin Roosevelt ran for the Democratic nomination for U.S. senator in New York in 1914 – and lost badly to Tammany Hall candidate James Gerard. This 7/8 inch celluloid is a rare pin from that campaign with a Whitehead and Hoag back paper in excellent condition. Highly sought after because it is such an early FDR item. More collectors have looked at this pin than any other as of July 23, and looking for a bid.
