An intriguing Jacksonian Party 1 1/4 inch celluloid dated Feb. 17, 1903. It shows a farmer reaping a crop labeled “Recordership.” This rare pin with Whitehead and Hoag back paper has been a bit of a mystery, but here's the real story, thanks to Lon Ellis: this pin was issued for Republican John C Haymaker for Pittsburgh Recorder. Lon has Pittsburgh newspaper articles from that election explaining the whole story. Excellent condition.
