George McGovern iconic concert pin with Carole King, Barbra Streisand, James Taylor, 3 1/2 inch celluloid, excellent condition. The concert held April 15,1972 at the Forum in Los Angeles had about as many celebrities as a presidential candidate had ever put together. Warren Beatty, Robert Redford, Paul Newman, Julie Christie, as well as the three singers pictured on the pin. The sellout concert grossed over $330,000 but after expenses the McGovern campaign only got about $18,000. Good thing they had these pins to sell! They were sold at the concert for at minimum $5 donation by such people as the movie stars mentioned. If you bought a pin from Paul Newman would you ever sell it?
