Stanhopes feature a process invented by Charles, Earl of Stanhope, and then improved by Frenchman Rene Dagron in the 1850s that allow for viewing of tiny microphotographs. This one is a 1-inch metal Stanhope in the shape of a pig. Look in the pig’s backside and you see Benjamin Harrison. A really fun item in excellent condition.
