A rare James Cox for president campaign pin from 1920. Cox was a three-term governor of Ohio when he ran for president and as it turns out was the only man on the 1920 tickets who didn’t become president. Warren Harding was elected, Calvin Coolidge took over when Harding died and Franklin Roosevelt, Cox’s running mate, later was elected president four times. Cox is the toughest of them all when it comes to collecting. This 1 1/4 inch celluloid is in excellent condition. A scarce and desirable pin from the collection of Dr. Bennett Frankel.
