This is the largest of the Lincoln-Hamlin “Doughnut" ferrotypes from 1860, so called because of their thick brass shell. These 1 7/8-inch ferrotypes are highly sought-after. Image is a touch dark on this one, but portraits and names are still very sharp with no chips or nicks. A real beauty!
