“Wide Awakes” was the name of a movement that started in Hartford, Ct., in 1860 after Abraham Lincoln spoke there. The famous movement continued long after Lincoln was gone. This 8 3/4 inch ribbon is from 1880 and was proudly worn by members of the group from the city where it all started. Few faint spots.
