Legendary Native American athlete Jim Thorpe is pictured on this celluloid pin from a June, 1933, festival in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Thorpe lived in Carlisle as a young man in the early 1900s. This 1 3/4 inch celluloid is attached to a pin showing an Indian in a canoe. Faint mark to top right of Thorpe, Whitehead and Hoag back paper.
