A beautiful Horace Greeley campaign item from 1872. The eccentric Greeley ended up being one of the most tragic presidential stories of them all. Running against U.S. Grant, in the course of the campaign his wife died, he lost control of his New York Newspaper and he had a nervous breakdown, dying in December of 1872. This 3/4 inch item is in excellent condition with great picture of Greeley and his famous chin whiskers.
