A rare 7/8 inch celluloid picturing Hale Johnson of Illinois, a leading figure in the Prohibition movement, the Prohibition Party vice presidential candidate in 1896 and a Prohibition Party presidential hopeful in 1900. Johnson was an attorney and was shot and killed in 1902 while trying to collect a debt from an Illinois farmer. This pin has a Whitehead and Hoag back paper and is in excellent condition.
