Anderson Auction #221

Lot #62:

Give the Key to Kennedy

One of the greatest of all John F. Kennedy pins from 1960. It's one of the "Big Four" pins of similar design made by family friend Frank Allen. Joe Kennedy didn't like the pins and so they were made only in sample quantities. This "Give the Key to Kennedy" is a classic 3 1/2-inch celluloid that comes from the Al Anderson collection. In fact, it was the last pin Al purchased before he passed away. There's a slight print mark below the star on left side.
