Stephen Douglas and Herschel Johnson are the candidates on this 1 7/8-inch “doughnut" ferrotype from 1860. This is the largest size of this kind of ferrotype with silvered brass shell. Douglas side shows a little faint crazing when held at an angle in the light. Very sharp images. Very sharp images.
