The 1946 baseball season ended with the Brooklyn Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals in a tie for first place. This 1-inch metal threated post with screw back embossed press pin was made in case the Dodgers won the best of three playoff games to see who would go to the World Series; The scores: Cardinals 4, Dodgers 2 and Cardinals 8, Dodgers 4. The Dodgers stayed home, but this great little pin lived on. Excellent condition.
