Southern Democrat candidates John Breckinridge and Joseph Lane are pictured on this 1 7/8-inch “doughnut" ferrotype from 1860. This is the largest size of these kinds of ferrotypes from 1860 and this one is in fantastic condition with the Breckinridge side a little darker than the Lane side. A very rare item with silvered brass shell and sharp images.
