John Breckinridge and Joseph Lane are pictured on the two sides of this 1-inch brass ferrotype from 1860. Breckinridge was the Southern candidate who actually finished second to Abraham Lincoln in the electoral vote in 1860. This ferrotype is in beautiful condition, with just a little fading in Lane's name.
