Alva Adams for Governor of Colorado

Alva Adams for governor of Colorado 7/8 inch celluloid. Adams served as governor three times, the last time only briefly in one of the oddest elections in US history. He and James Peabody both were accused of illegal election activities in 1904. Adams served as governor for two months in 1905 before the state legislature kicked him out and appointed Peabody, who immediately resigned and turned the office over to his running mate, Jessie McDonald. Hence, Colorado actually had three governors in one day. Whitehead and Hoag back paper.
