William Rodriguez was a socialist candidate for mayor of Chicago in 1911. He went on to become the first Hispanic elected to Chicago City Council. This 1 1/4 inch celluloid is from the mayor’s race and pictures Rodriguez as a “Union Man for Mayor.” A rare item for socialist and Chicago collectors in excellent condition. Considered one of the rarest and best of all Chicago pins from Bob Rouse collection.
