Anderson Americana has 42 years of experience in the political and historical memorabilia business. Here's a brief introduction to the business:
- Al Anderson has been an avid political collector for more than 50 years and organized his first auction in 1972 while working as an American history teacher at Troy High School. Al also worked as a stockbroker before deciding to go into the political memorabilia business full-time. He is a past president of the Ohio Political Item Collectors and has served on the board of directors of the Ohio Political Item Collectors and the American Political Item Collectors. Al is recognized as one of the foremost experts in the country on political memorabilia and has been featured in articles in U.S. Today, the New York Times, the Chicago Tribune, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes Magazine and other newspapers and publications. Al was inducted into the APIC Hall of Fame at the 2014 National Convention in Denver. Al and his wife Nancy are the parents of three children and seven grandchildren.
- David Lindeman first worked with Al Anderson almost 40 years ago, when he was a student in Al's high school history class. Since then, he has worked as a journalist, including as the managing editor and executive editor of the Troy Daily News. David has won numerous state, regional and national awards for writing and page design, served one year on the Ohio Associated Press Board of Directors and continues to write a weekly newspaper column. Al and David served as co-chairmen of the APIC 2012 National Convention in Columbus. He joined Anderson Americana in 1999. David and his wife Candy are the parents of three children and two grandchildren.
CONSIGNMENT FEES: We offer a sliding consignment fee for each item sold. The rate is 15% on the first $100 of each item; 10% on the amount from $100 to $1,000; and 5% on the amount more than $1,000.
