A rare and highly sought-after third party campaign pin from 1976. This “Break Free From Big Brother” 2 1/4 inch celluloid from the Anderson Collection pictures Libertarian candidates Roger MacBride and David Bergland. Four years earlier, as a runaway Republican presidential elector, MacBride cast his vote for Libertarians John Hospers and Tonie Nathan, becoming the first elector in U.S. history to vote for a woman. (He also was co-creator and co-producer of the “Little House on the Prairie” television series). Excellent condition.
