The Chautauqua movement was a major force in America from the mid 1800s to the Great Depression. This colorful 1 1/4 inch celluloid with Whitehead and Hoag back paper was made to promote a Redpath-Vawter children’s chautauqua. Keith Vawter created the popular circuit chautauquas that first hit the road in the early 1900s. Excellent condition.
