Women’s rights activists thought Woodrow Wilson was slow in supporting their movement. They were so convinced that they regularly protested outside the White House during Wilson’s presidency. This rare suffrage poster reflects their feelings about Wilson. “Suffrage First” is a 14 3/4 by 19-inch framed poster printed by the National Woman’s Party that urges men to vote against Wilson because of his opposition to national woman suffrage. Great design, nicely framed, the names Wally and Peggy are handwritten at bottom right.
