When Ronald Reagan took to the rails for a whistlestop tour of Ohio in October of 1984, he christened his train the Heartland Special. The tour started in Dayton and ended in Perrysburg and went down the tracks only a few blocks from Anderson Americana world headquarters here in Troy! Alas, the train didn’t stop in Troy but it did slow down and Reagan made an appearance on the back of the train as it approached the Miami River on its way north to Sidney, Lima, Ottawa and Deshler. This scarce 2 1/4 inch celluloid is in excellent condition. Another pin that will be posted on-line with a special low opening bid.
