Rare 2 1/4 inch celluloid picturing the 1901 Northwestern football team. Included in the picture at upper right is Alton Washington, the first African-American to play in the Big Ten after its founding in 1896. Button has edge stain, no pin on back, but image is sharp and it is a landmark sports and civil rights item.
