Here’s a really unusual Franklin Roosevelt pin with some mysterious initials: D.W.G. for Roosevelt. There is a part of Arlington, Texas, called Dalworthington Gardens (known to the locals as DWG) that was founded in the 1930s after Eleanor Roosevelt the site for a homestead. She discovered the area when her son, Elliott, married a girl who lived nearby. So could this pin be from the DWG colony? Whatever the initials stand for, the 7/8 inch celluloid is a scarce FDR item.
