A spectacular 1880 campaign item. This is a 12-inch tall red, white and blue paper lantern printed with the names Garfield and Arthur. We’ll never know how they managed to use these things without burning the town down, but we’re thankful that this one has survived in excellent condition. From Gary Cohen’s collection.
