Franklin Roosevelt was an assistant secretary of the Navy in 1914 when he decided to run for the U.S. Senate. It was too soon for FDR: he lost badly in the Democratic primary. Of course, he went on to bigger things, which makes this early campaign celluloid a very special item. It’s a scarce 7/8 inch New York celluloid with Whitehead and Hoag back paper in excellent condition.
