Dr. L.D. LeGear of St. Louis was the owner of the legendary horse King LeGear, a Percheron who was called the largest horse in the world. He certainly was a big one, standing 21 hands high and weighing 2,995 pounds. This colorful 1 1/4 inch celluloid pictures the champion horse, who not only was big in size but also big in helping promote Dr. LeGear’s animal medicine business. Back paper tells the horse’s story.
