Things looked bleak for Harry Truman as the 1948 election drew near. With Strom Thurmond and Henry Wallace drawing away Democratic voters and Thomas Dewey looking unbeatable, Truman needed all the help he could get. This celluloid pin expresses some of the urgency that went with the Truman campaign. It’s a scarce 1 3/4 inch celluloid that says, “Don’t Tarry, Vote for Harry.” A lot of people took that advice and Truman ended up pulling a gigantic political upset. Pin has a few small red print marks, overall is excellent. Tough Truman from the Gil Gleason collection.
