John W. Davis and Augustus Owsley Stanley are pictured on this Kentucky coattail from 1924. It’s a scarce 7/8 inch celluloid in excellent condition. An interesting historical footnote: Stanley was an avowed prohibitionist who was the grandfather of Owsley “Bear” Stanley, a close companion of the Grateful Dead and famous for cooking up LSD in San Francisco. Whitehead and Hoag back paper, excellent condition.
