An intriguing item from before the color line was broken in professional sports. This scarce 1 1/2 inch celluloid from the 1930s or 1940s was made to promote a game between the Colored All-Stars and New York Yankees. While we can’t find record of the baseball Yankees playing a group of black all-stars, there was a Colored All Stars vs. New York Yankees professional football game in 1941. A great item from pre-integration days in professional team sports. Excellent condition.
