This 3 by 5 1/2 inch paper cover (envelope) from the Civil War shows the level of feeling generated by secession. It carries the names of Confederate President Jefferson Davis and Vice President Alexander Stephens and pictures the first Confederate flag as “The Pirate Flag.” Scarce item, excellent condition.
