Franklin Roosevelt Essex County, NY, Women's League scarce 7/8 inch celluloid, excellent condition. The Laundry Workers Industrial Union, formed in New York City, was mainly composed of women of color who worked in the laundries. It was originally organized by Communist Party labor organizers who were hired by the CIO to create the union.
