This Walter Mondale pin is a landmark for the LGBT movement. Deacon McCubbin was a Washington, D.C., bookstore owner and leader in the LGBT movement who also organized the city’s first LGBT parade in 1975. He was a Mondale delegate in 1984 as this scarce 2 1/4 inch celluloid shows. He was the first openly gay delegate elected to a national convention. From the Norm Eavenson collection, excellent condition.
