This scarce 2 inch embossed brass pin announced Theodore Roosevelt’s entry into the 1912 presidential race. It is embossed with the words “My hat is in the ring” and “Teddy” – familiar to anyone at the time because when someone wanted to challenge a boxing champion, he threw his hat into the ring. Rough Rider hat attached at center. Excellent condition.
